There are mainly two types of Veneers used: composite or dental porcelain. The composite veneer can be applied directly or indirectly using a resin adhesive. What are dental veneers?

How long do veneers last?
Porcelain veneers are made from durable material and, with good home care and regular checkups, can serve for many years. Habits like grinding or biting hard objects shorten their life, so we review your bite and habits at your assessment.
Does getting veneers hurt?
The preparation appointment uses local anesthesia, so you should not feel pain during treatment. Mild sensitivity for a few days afterwards is common and usually settles on its own.
How many visits do veneers take?
Usually two main visits: one to prepare the teeth and take records for the lab, and a second to bond the finished veneers once they return. You wear temporary veneers in between if your plan calls for them.
Can veneers fix crooked teeth?
Veneers can improve the appearance of mildly misaligned teeth. For larger alignment problems, orthodontic treatment is the healthier route — we assess your bite and tell you honestly which approach fits.

A veneer may be laminal or full crown. The laminal veneer is mainly used for aesthetic purposes and the full crown veneer covers all the coronal surfaces of the tooth.
Benefits
Veneers can close spaces, lengthen teeth that have been shortened by wear, fill the black triangles between teeth caused by gum recession, provide a uniform color, shape, and symmetry, and make the teeth appear straight.
